May/June 2026

Just as you think it can’t get any better, this happens: The Trustees are thrilled to announce that we are the lucky recipients of another major grant… We have been awarded £18,600 by the Severn Trent Community Fund towards our roof repairs. This means we are only a few thousand pounds short of being able to do all our roof repairs so if you, or anyone you know, work for a company who has a charitable giving budget, please do get in touch and we can help them spend it!

The inaugural Ackleton Darts Tournament was a fantastic event with three lanes busy all evening. In the final (aka The Battle of Tub Row) James (Jim) Miller triumphed over Steve Pickering and claimed his own trophy!!  We aren’t quite sure of the etiquette of winning the tournament you organised, but we’re prepared to let that one go for now – he’d better not win next time!

The May 200 club was also drawn at the darts night – Congratulations to:

1st Prize: Tracy Smith

2nd Prize: Leanne Barker

3rd Prize: Rachel Pawlikowski

We hope to see you at our next event:

Saturday July 4th – Beer tasting and Curry Night with Bewdley Brewery
